A material code, pressure rating and temperature option must be checked as one ordered configuration. FL500 illustrates why separate catalog limits should not be combined automatically.

The FL500 catalog lists aluminum, stainless-steel and PP body options. It separately prints body pressure ratings of 150 bar for aluminum, 400 bar for stainless steel and 50 bar for PP. These are material-dependent entries, not one rating for every FL500.

A separate catalog temperature envelope of -196°C to +200°C is labeled high/low-temperature custom. It does not establish that every listed material, seal, range and connection can operate across that envelope. The selected combination must be stated in the order documentation.

What to send before choosing a body

Provide the liquid, its operating temperature, normal and peak pressure, required flow span, connection and output. Ask for the body and seal material to be named in the quotation, together with the applicable pressure and temperature limits.

If a PP configuration or an extreme-temperature option is required, request the configuration-specific limits rather than using the largest number from a different column. A catalog entry is not a corrosion-compatibility or system-safety approval.
