Product overview

Automatic thermal control for gearbox lubrication circuits.

The TVC / T1280 family is designed for wind turbine gearbox lubrication and cooling circuits. A temperature-sensitive, replaceable thermal element moves the valve mechanism as lubricant temperature changes, automatically directing flow between the cooler and bypass paths without external electrical power.

Configuration note

Ratings, materials, interfaces, and approvals can vary by ordered configuration. CASCED INC confirms the controlled specification before order acceptance.

Key features

  • Automatic temperature-driven routing between bypass and cooler circuits
  • Replaceable thermal element / thermal actuator
  • No external electrical power required
  • Model-specific 40–55°C or 45–60°C operating range
  • Maximum flow up to 20 m³/h on the specified TVC models
  • Phosphate-treated spring and housing surfaces
  • Temperature-driven mechanical stroke

How it works

Temperature-driven routing between bypass and cooler circuits.

The replaceable thermal element responds directly to lubricant temperature and moves the valve mechanism without external electrical power.

01

Cold Oil

Bypass Cooler

Directs the primary flow around the cooler while the lubricant is below the transition range.

02

Transition Range

Modulated / Mixed Flow

Divides flow between the bypass and cooler paths as the thermal element moves through its operating stroke.

03

Hot Oil

Flow Through Cooler

Directs the primary flow through the oil cooler after the lubricant reaches the upper operating region.
